What is Friends of Kate Sessions?

Our mission is to enhance the curriculum and enrich the educational experience for our children.

Friends of Kate Sessions (FOKS) is our school's parent teacher organization (PTO). FOKS is a 100% volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

We provide financial and technical support to Sessions Elementary teachers and fund programs that the public school system no longer supports including science, art, garden and dance. We also provide books, supplies, and financial assistance to our teachers for classroom resources.

This is an exciting time to be a Sessions family. We are focusing on science, garden and dance. This enrichment is only possible through the generosity of the families and community who support Sessions Elementary. Please help FOKS provide these amazing programs and opportunities for every child. Some of the specific programs include science education with San Diego Youth Science, garden education, field trips including buses and admission, library books, the Heart 2 Art Dance Program and more.
